MEET THE WEDDING COORDINATOR

A lot of you will already know our lovely wedding co-ordinator, but here’s some information to get to know her better!

My name is Sophie Phillips and I have been with Hollin House here in Bollington for 3 years now after moving from Shrigley Hall. I started at Shrigley Hall as a receptionist but fell in love with the weddings side of the business and when the opportunity opened up at Hollin House, I jumped for it!

There’s been so many memorable events from my time here its hard to pick just one, but I do have to say a love a wedding involving dogs! We’ve had a lot of doggy best men, bridesmaids and ring bearers! We just love our four legged friends.

My top tips for anyone who has just got engaged and looking at potential wedding venues would definitely be to have a budget in mind – it’s very easy to get carried away and having a budget stops you from overspending! When it comes to speaking with a venue, have a rough idea of how many guests you would be looking at inviting – make sure they are well equipped to accommodate everyone you want to spend your special moment with and my last top tip would be to pick a date – it may sound obvious, but pick a date as early as possible to avoid potential conflicts!

Hollin House is such a unique country house venue. We have so many photograph opportunities with our picturesque location in the Cheshire countryside- its bound to make the photos from your special day stand out from the crowd. Every aspect of your wedding will be catered for with the absolute best service from the team – we are so passionate about what we do and want you to have the best day imaginable so we will only ever have 1 wedding a day so all of our attention can be focused on you.

The best part of my job by far, is being able to watch peoples dreams become reality and being able to be apart of their day is amazing. I am lucky to be able to meet so many lovely people and be involved in the most special day of their lives.
